2001

11/23/01: New pages uploaded. Exciting, yes?

12/12/01: Added some pics of Ricky and Matt taken in New York the last weekend of November. More coming soon...

12/19/01: More pics from New York and a song added to the "Music" section taken from a jam session this past November.

2002

01/12/02: New dates and links added. Be sure to check them out.

01/20/02: Three new dates added to the band's schedule. Also a pic added of Ricky and Matt with (bleh!) Barenaked Ladies in New York at the Great Guinness Toast on November 30th. Who woulda thunk it?

02/03/02: New pics added. One is of Ricky and Matt taken from the Great Guinness Toast (lurching in the shadows) and the others are from the Dirty Perch's gig on February 1st.

02/10/02: Well... as you could tell from visiting the "Pics" section the photos from the Dirty Perch's gig didn't turn out so good :-( Didn't have the means to take any photos from our gig this past Friday from The Door. Odd show - a bit like a fish out of water. Very Spartan set, but still had a blast. Check out the "Dates" section. More shows coming up at the end of the month and in March. Stay tuned...

02/14/02: Several date changes, so go check out the "Dates" section (duh!) for the updates.

02/16/02: New front page. Try to contain your excitement, folks...(sarcasm)

02/26/02: Couple of date changes and a new song added to the "Music" section.

03/05/02: Just been getting ready to hit the clubs again after the debacle at The Door last month. Also been searching for a front vocalist for the last few weeks. More details coming soon... Added new bio information on Hal. Sorry it's taken so long, bud!

03/12/02: Two new CDs available for purchase in the "Music" section. Must haves for the discreet audiophile ;-) Played Spike's on Friday. To sum things up: barflies, one mike (no cord; luckily I had one on me), and an owner who fancied himself as Bill Graham and mistaken his dive for the Fillmore East. Fuck it, we still had a blast! We played two sets, with some of the patrons and the bouncer warming up to us. Even several people from the bar next door came over and listened to us. Definitely an experience... The show at Dirty Perch's the next night was absolutely great. We opened for Jenny Dick, who did a fantastic set. Broke a string in the middle of "2am" and Ricky was providing a drumstick genocide throughout the set - you know, the usual shenanigans - but we kept a rollin'... Singer found? Trying out a potential prospect at the moment.

03/22/02: A Galaxy Club gig is coming up April 4th with Vert-A-Go, Five 6 Rule, and Blind Ambition, so be sure to check out the show! Go to the "Dates" section for more info.

03/26/02: Added a "Contact" page and... that's all- I only added one page (yawn).

04/02/02: Yeah! Ray's back! Hoorah! Yep, Kaddy's back in the foray and you can catch him fronting the band this Thursday at the Galaxy Club. Happy days are here again...

04/08/02: Pics from the Dirty Perch show March 9 and the Galaxy Club posted (plus one of Kaddy at full attention!) Another show has been scheduled at the Perch on the 27th opening for Sally Majestic, so be there dammit! :-)

04/10/02: Added the time of the Perch show in the "Dates" section and a link to Garbage's page in (of course) the "Links" section. If you are interested, bored, or both, you can check out the links on my defunct band's page.

04/18/02: New song added to the "Music" section, available for you to download and cream your pants over :-)

04/23/02: Hey! You! Yeah, you! We've got some new dates posted and the "Members" page has been re-vamp. That's all, sweeties!

04/26/02: Some bad news, folks. Ricky's has suffered a severe injury to his left wrist, leaving it immobile. Thus the Dirty Perch's show this Saturday has been canceled. Also, due to a schedule conflict our show at Club Optimo on May 10th has been cancelled.

04/28/02: And the shit continues to hit the fan...the gig at Perch's on June 15 has been canceled.

05/03/02: The Perch's gig on May 18 has been canceled due to the persistence of Ricky's injury.

05/07/02: Alrighty then! We've managed to re-book the Club Optimo show for May 31 and we're playing it, dammit!

05/10/02: Another show at the Perch has been booked for June 22.

06/01/02: Loads of news for you, folks... Ricky is out of the band due to his general unreliability. His intentions were made clear this past Monday that he would not play the Club Optimo show on May 31. Luckily Mike, a very talented and brave drummer, stepped up to the challenge when he was asked to fill the vacated slot. In three days he learned 13 songs and did an outstanding job at the Club Optimo show. Ray put on one of this finest performances for what would be his final show (or is it?) with the band. He starts a new job this Monday which unfortunately allows him no time to continue doing what he loves. We will miss the big ol' buffoon :-) Acidjoker headlined last night show and did a smash up job! On top of that, they were really nice guys. We appreciated their kindness and support. The guys at Club Optimo were really cool and supportive and we would like to thank their booking agent, Rusty, for being a great bloke. We opened the show and the crowd varied in size, from four people to around twenty. We enjoyed ourselves and would love to play there again soon. Oh yeah... be sure to come and see us play at the Perch on June 22. Adios for now!

06/10/02: Updated the "Current Members" page.

06/12/02: Added link to "Texas Band Page". Let's see if they return the favor...

06/22/02: Well, some very disappointing news (at least to us). The gig at Dirty Perch's tonight has been canceled due to the fact that the club has been shut down. Christ knows why-everyone close to the situation has been very tight lipped, so something major must had gone down. Of all the darn luck! We'll keep you posted as soon as any new information comes to light.

07/06/02: The search for a drummer continues. Again, our thanks to Mike for helping cover our asses at the Optimo show. We are forever indebted to you :-)

07/16/02: Hey! Go check out Keith Levene's new website, Murder Global. And keep an eye out for his new ep, Killer In The Crowd, which can also be purchased from his website.

07/18/02: Yes, that's right! A gig at the Ridglea on Friday, August 2. After nearly a three month hiatus, we're ready to hit the clubs again with Shane Reynolds onboard behind the skins. So, come by and let's have a good ol' fashion ho-down! Ye-HAWW!

08/07/02: The Ridglea Show came and went and we didn't leave much of a dent... There is some good news, through. Ricky's back onboard behind the skins and we're looking forward to getting back on track. Ricky came out to the Ridglea show and we were able to "clear the air" between us. We will be spending the rest of the month re-grouping and hopefully will be back as a working group by September.

09/20/02: As you can tell, a page makeover. Not to worry, folks- we're still a working unit :-) We've been working on some new songs and are hoping to book a couple of shows in October. We'll keep ya posted...

10/08/02: Our first show with Ricky back in the band :-) Make sure to come check us out at Club Optimo on Saturday, November 2 at 8:30pm and I'll show you my titties ;-)

10/09/02: I guess you won't get to see me titties Nov. 2. The spectre of bumbility has returned, resulting in (surprise!) another canceled show. Hoping for a reschedule at the moment...

10/12/02: As the World Turns? General Hospital? Dallas? Nope, just RGB. Ricky's black-balled again, proving one's initial instinct is always right, so we're back looking for a drummer. No prima donnas or "big talk, small package" types need to apply.

10/22/02: Still here. Just updated the front page. The search for a drummer continues. Check out Mike's new band, Sun, (whom I've been collaborating with for the past couple of weeks) at their homepage.

11/16/02: Fun? Oh yes, I remember what "fun" is... :-) We've been having plenty of fun working with RGB's new drummer for the past week and (knock on wood) pray that our "Times of Troubles" are over for now!

11/19/02: We've got a new ep out for sale (if you haven't already noticed from the front page!) recorded with our new man on the skins, James Lechon. New pics and member info are up, so check 'em out, head to the music section, buy yourself a copy (or two, or three) of our fine musical selections, and help keep us from having to sell our bodies on the street to earn a living ;-)

11/23/02: As you probably noticed, the site has a somewhat different look to it. Loads of new pictures have been added, most of them from the Galaxy Club show back in April. The photos were shot by Hal's cousin, Linus, and unfortunately my scanner couldn't quite capture the full beauty of his pictures, but nevertheless they still turned out very well. We appreciate your work, Linus!

12/06/02: Two new show dates for ya, folks. We are scheduled to play Club Optimo on Dec. 28 and Jan. 18. Let's see if the 100th time is a charm! :-)

12/12/02: A week of ups and downs. First, my computer totally crashes, thus I lose EVERYTHING! Then, we received word from the owner of TA Rockz on Monday that he needs another band to fill a last-minute vacated slot today, which is totally cool. Yes, it's short notice- but if you (yes, YOU, reading this!) can make it out tonight at 10:00pm to check out the show, a round of beers shall be bestowed upon you to show our appreciation!

12/19/02: Thank fucking God! I'm fully back online, thanks to a new motherboard and hard drive. The TA Rockz show went absolutely great! Thanks to everyone who came out and we really do appreciate the guys from Knotch for waiting around and checking us out. Also, our apologies to them for us being total bastards by not being able to stick around and watch their show :-( Other news... You can now purchase our cds online at CD Baby. Our first two cds are not available for purchase, but the Pissed and Proud single is, so if you haven't bought a copy, please buy one today! Remember to come and check out our Optimo shows on Dec. 26 and Jan. 18. See ya'll! :-)

12/30/02: We had an absolute blast at last night's show! We played with Kung Foo Preacher who put on one helluva set! Many, many, many thanks to everyone who came out to the show, Kung Foo Preacher for their kindness and generosity, and everyone at Club Optimo for their hospitality and support. We will be playing at Optimo again on Jan. 18 and we also have a show coming up at the Aardvark on Jan. 22, so please come out and show your support (also to have a really good time!). And, finally: tune into KNON 89.3 FM Sunday nights from midnight-4am and check out the "Short Bus" program, hosted by Babs and Gimp. Also, go to Live365.com and listen to dallasmusic.com's DJ Darrin's online radio station. Please request RGB material if ya don't hear it being played. Thanks!

12/31/02: Our show at the Aardvark has been moved to Jan. 29, so mark yer calendars! ;-)

2003

01/03/03: It's manna from heaven to us! We are opening for The Filthy Skanks this Saturday at Microplay in Cleburne.

01/06/03: Great show and great audience! A big thanks to Microplay's owner and all the locals that showed up Saturday to watch the show and a mucho gracias goes out to The Filthy Skanks for being so nice and allowing all the bands that played to use their PA. We will be back at Microplay on Jan. 25, so please everyone who came out this past Saturday come again and bring your friends!

01/30/03: Tons, tons, tons of news for ya... What a blast we'd had playing our last three shows! First, our show at Club Optimo on the 18th went spectacular. We also got to witness the full power of Mucous, Fort Worth's great veteran punk group. The Microplay show was absolutely energetic! Packed house, moshing, lights smashed, and yours truly getting wacked in the mouth with his own microphone- totally kicked ass! SkateAroundChippy played their arses off and sounded fantastic, keeping the supply of adrenaline open to the crowd. Very fuckin' cool band! At the Aardvark we had the pleasure of playing with Standing By Lou again (the first time was at Ridglea last August), and with The Steve Daves, who were ultra-cool blokes. Both put on killer shows IMHO. But a big FUCK YOU goes out to the TCU-based band (whose name isn't worth mentioning) who played second slot. Total bitches. On to other news... :-) You can check us out at the Wreck Room this coming Tuesday and again on March 23. Also, we'll be in Denton at Andy's on Feb. 20, so pleeeez, come out and support your local killer band ;-) The Denton show will be the kick off for Ray's return back in the fold. Ya-WHOOO!

02/03/03: The Microplay show originally scheduled for Mar. 22 has been moved to a later (as yet to be announced) date and three shows at Optimo have been booked. As for tomorrow night, the show at the Wreck Room should start around 8:00pm, but come by earlier and soak in the atmosphere and some drink ;-) We will be playing with Italian punksters Forty Winks.

02/18/03: Killer, KILLER, show at the Wreck Room Feb. 4th! Tons of people, great bands, great time! The guys from Forty Winks were ultra cool and put on one fantastic show, as did Sherwood who played some super-tight, super-awesome music. Please try to make it out to Denton this Thursday and check us out at Andy's. Doors open at 8:00pm. Be there or... be something that has four equally measured sides and isn't a circle :-) FYI... I don't know whether Ray will be fronting the band for this show. We haven't been able to jam together that often for the past couple of weeks, so it will be Ray's call whether he feels ready to play Thursday or not.

02/27/03: The lineup shall remain a trio. Ray will not be returning to the role as our big, loveable front man. No hurt feelings, it was a mutual agreement. His contributions with the band in its early stages cannot be overstated. Without him, there would be no RGB. So on with the show!... A very big thank you to everyone who checked out the show at Andy's! :-) The rainy weather didn't seem to dampen anybody's mood, as people began to file into the club as our set began. It was also a real pleasure watching Nervewerks put on a top-notch show, and shame on you if you missed it!... Be sure to come out this Saturday to Club Optimo as we do our best to bring the house down ;-) We will also be playing at Microplay Mar. 15. Not only will there be live music and the usual element of chaos that makes this place such a blast to play at, but there will be an exhibition match held by several wrestlers of the WWF (I shit you not!!!) during the show! You definitely cannot miss this event! So, show up around 8:00pm, bring $5, and witness some surreal backwater Americana! :-)

03/03/03: Well, well, well. This Saturday we received quite a shock. Around noon, I received a call from my friend G.B., famed drummer for the Cattle Assassins and ...Of Death. He informed me that the night before he and the Cattle Assassins were to play Club Optimo. Upon arrival though, they found to their disbelief the venue shut down. After Hal contacted Adam, Club Optimo's owner, it was confirmed that Club Optimo had indeed went out of business. :-( First, Dirty Perch's; now, Optimo. They were great places to play and we'll miss them dearly. As our local venues close their doors, so our local scene's vitality slowly wanes.

03/25/03: We had a knee slappin', good ol' time for the past month! It was pretty damn fun playing with the wrestlers of NAW (not the WWF, as I heard through the grapevine) who fought out in the parking lot and managed to scare a few unknowing bystanders! A couple of James' "contingent" came out in support of the band and nearly got into a real scuffle when they called the wrestlers "faggots". With Dynasty, Split Rail, and Tongue, it was a good night in Cleburne... The Wreck Room this past Sunday was hardly a packed house (after all, what do you expect competing against the war, the Oscars, and the Final Four?), but we truly thank everyone who came out! :-) Two bands on the bill no-showed, so it was just us and Junior, who were really cool and sounded great (shame on you for missing us!). We have two dates booked in May at Microplay, so be sure to go to the "Dates" section and mark those days off on your calendar!

04/07/03: April shall be a month of us re-grouping, but there will be more to come later...

04/22/03: We are taking some time off restructuring the band, hoping to build a more durable, more powerful, RGB :-) The shows scheduled at Microplay in May may be played under a different moniker involving Mike Phemister on drums and yours truly doing god-knows-what. No promises, but it still could be interesting...

05/14/03: We're back, hopefully stronger than ever ;-) We have two new members onboard (Matt Tinius on drums and Hassam E as second guitarist) and one new show date at Division One. Although we did not play in any shape or form at Microplay earlier this month, we will still be performing there on May 24th, so come by and check out the new lineup!

05/18/03: Updated the "Press" section, and, as you could tell, the front page. That is all for now.

05/31/03: Our first show with Matt T. in the lineup (sorry, no Hassam. Injured his wrist, doubt if he will ever come into the foray.) and even though we (at least I) were a bit rusty, it went off pretty damn good! Matt broke a crash stand after the first song and I was going severely out of tune by the last two songs, but we had an absolute blast :-) No guarantees, but you may be able to catch the action on cable access channel 31. Also, please check out the "Dates" section, as we have several new shows booked for this coming month and July.

07/01/03: Hey, hey! It's been over a month since updating this thing I call a web page and here's what we've been up to and what we're going to get up to! :-) The Division One show went pretty well. In the mist of loading into the club Hal was offered by a man in the parking lot a chance to buy a Jensen car stereo system with frayed wires and all. Interesting start to an interesting night. We were lucky to play with Tongue and Bus Hop, both whom put on excellent shows. It was our second time playing with Tongue (the first being a Microplay show) and again we thank them for their generosity and support. If you missed our show with Cystaleen at the Pepper Mill, you should kick yourself... repeatedly! It went off without a hitch. Great audience and the members of Crystaleen were just fantastic. They're my favorite local band, besides us ;-). If you missed the Pepper Mill gig, you'll have a chance to catch both bands again on the 11th at Pitcher's in Arlington. Hope to see you there!

07/18/03: It's back to the "Find a Drummer" game... again. The gig at Pitcher's was not much of a picnic. Some old drunk gets the shit kicked out of him in the parking lot, climbs into his duelly after awakening from an unconscious state, rams my truck while I'm inside setting up the PA, and drives off! The locals were a bit hostile, but we still gave it all we got. Crystaleen put on another fine performance and we thank them again for their support and kindness. It was Matt's last show with us and we wish him all the best! And now, some news about the web page... Added some pics from the "Lechon Era" :-) and updated the "Members" page. Over and out for now. :-)

07/29/03: Howdy folks! We've been working with a drummer for the past couple of weeks, so keep your fingers crossed :-) Also, we've signed on to Cornerband.com's page, but it seems they're just another website adhering to the ethos of being exclusively Internet Explorer friendly (bastards!). Be warned!

09/03/03: We're still around... We've been rehearsing the past month with Cody Bannister behind the skins. We're looking at late September/early October before we hit the clubs again, so stay tuned for updates!

09/10/03: You can now join the RGB mailing list hosted by StarPolish. Check out their site and look us up, too! :-) Also, check out Mike Phemister's new project, Super Love Attack. That does it for now :-)

10/12/03: Well folks, another lineup change. Cody is no longer with us. A very talented musician, but alas, things did not work out. We wish him all the best :-) Ricky's back on board after a year hiatus from the band. We're absolutely stoked to have him back and hope his return will help put RGB back on track after a year of ups and downs. More to come soon... :-)

10/16/03: Did some "house cleaning" on the site. Added an "Archive" page for all stuff past. Feel free to rummage through it! There will be some more items posted there in the near future.

10/29/03: Alright! We've got our own site. Now we're as unique as about a billion other people! :-) Angelfire booted us off their site for an undisclosed reason, so fuck them... It's been going great in the RGB camp lately. We're working on several new tunes which we hope to unveil (or impose!) on ya soon... Added several more old fliers and ads in the "Archives" section, and besides getting this humble little site up and running, that's been about it. More later...

11/06/03: Hip-hop hooray, ho, hey! We will be returning to the Wreck Room December 4, so mark your calendars, get it tattooed, write it in on the inside of your underwear- anything to remember that date and come out to support the greatest thing since spray-on hair ;-)

11/13/03: As you can tell from the front page, we will be playing with Dixie Witch and Thrall, so you'll definitely kick yourself if you miss this show! Be there and save your ass from self abuse!

11/25/03: We have been working on our new album, Live Through This, for the past several days. Our five song EP should be finished by the week's end. Reserve your copy today! ;-)

11/30/03: Our album is being "officially" released tomorrow, but won't hit the stores for several days (the beauty of DIY ;-) ). We will have them for sale at our gig Thursday... There is a roster change for the Wreck Room show. We will be playing with not only Thrall, but El Salvador Birthday Bash and A Faith Called Chaos. The show starts at 8:30pm. Hope to see y'all there!

12/05/03: What a turnout we had last night! A million thanks to each and everyone who came and saw the show. After nearly five months of being off the stage, it felt great to be back performing. We would also like to thank A Faith Called Chaos for their generosity and kindness and we enjoyed watching them, too :-) ... the ancient Explosive Fertilizer site has been placed into the "Archives" section. For over six years it has been residing at Angelfire, but for simplicity's sake (one less password I have to remember and one less web shell I have to visit), I have decided to move it to a more stable, permanent "burial ground". The links from its former site has been moved to our "Links" page. That's all I have to say. Good day! :-)

2004

01/01/04: It's out with the old and in with the new ;-) Cleaned up the site in preparation for the new year. You can find all past dates and news in the "Archives" section. Also added a section to purchase RGB t-shirts and stickers so you can be stylin' like a mofo(!)... We have several new shows coming up at the Octagon and the Pirate's Cove, so begin the year properly and support the RGB!

01/15/04: Another date to spend with RGB. We will be playing at Division One on the 29th... Remember to come out on the 24th to the Pirate's Cove. Cheap beer and loud as hell rock n' roll- what more could you ask for?

01/27/04: Wow! What a turnout we had at the Pirate's Cove! A big mucho gracias to everyone who came out last Saturday. It was one of the most fun gigs we played and we appreciate y'all for making it a blast!... If you feel like braving the cold this Thursday, we will be at Division One. We will go on at 11:30pm. So come out, knock back a few drinks to warm up, and begin the weekend early and on a good note with us! :-)

01/31/04: We thank everyone who came out to Division One this past Thursday. We had the pleasure to play with Flesh Pilgrims and Cadillac To Mexico, both whom put on fantastic shows... As you may have notice from the front page, you can catch us next Saturday back at the Pirate's Cove. Hope to see ya there!

02/18/04: Great turnout again at the Cove on the 7th! Many, many thanks to everyone who was able to see the show!!! We'll be back this Saturday at 10:00pm. Make your Saturday a blast and have some memories that will last (depending on how much you have to drink- yes, the rhyme's pretty corny anyways...)!... Ricky has a new web page where you buy his artwork and stained glass sculptures. You can reach it here and is also located in the "Links" section.

03/01/04: The new and improved(?) RGB homepage. We felt it was time to give the site a facelift. Nothing too fancy- I like to keep it simple and clean (and I'm too lazy to mess with java scripting and macromedia stuff!). So, check out the site and see what you think. :-)... Another blast was had by us at the Cove on the 21st. We thank everyone who came out and showed their support! If you didn't make it out, here's what you missed. Local eccentric/loon "Rock n' roll" Ricky was the best opening act one could hope for- spaz dancing and chanting "Rock n' roll!" during our first two songs- before dancing out the door at the end of "Quickie Rehash" and never returning. (One of our biggest fans, Ricky lives by the Ridglea Theater on Bryant Irvin and resides in the house that is literally covered with junk, with more junk used as a front yard.)... Not everyone liked the show, though. Our apologies to the disgruntled patron (dubbed "The Mexican Pirate" by friend/fan Melissa) who is apparently illiterate and couldn't read the signs outside the bar, on the front door- hell, just about everywhere!- stating "Live music: RGB Feb. 21 @ 10:00pm". We are also sorry that we didn't sound like James Brown and the music was too loud for him. The lesson learned from this experience? Drunk and stupid is no way to go through life?

03/19/04: We're alive and kickin'! We've been working on new tunes and will start recording in the next week or so. That's it- straight from the horse's mouth to you! :-)

05/03/04: It's been awhile since updating the page, and again, a slightly different look. Our new album is still in the works, plus some show dates (as of now to be confirmed) for later this month and June. We'll keep you posted, so keep checking back here. If you haven't already, join our mailing list to get the latest updates on the band. Cheers!

05/09/04: We will be playing with The Me-Thinks at the Wreck Room on June 18. More details to come...

05/30/04: 'Tis the long weekend to get drunk off your ass! We will not be playing at the Wreck Room on June 18. Shit happens. We are now trying to set up a show at the Pirate's Cove in mid-June. So check by frequently for the latest from the greatest! ;-)
